FURNITURE

Generations of Kashubs have labored in the field of woodworking and some of Canada's most valuable antique pieces have been crafted by well-known woodworkers and cabinet makers: John Borutski, John Chippior and John Kosloski.

Shirley Mask Connolly, our resident Historian and Curator of the Polish Kashub Heritage Museum, has produced some articles on the significance of this unique furniture. Please click on a link below to view the articles.

  • Article 2: Szafa made by John Borutski for his daughter, Veronica

This summer, plan a visit to the Museum in Wilno to learn more about the unique furniture style of Canada's Polish Kashub Community- widely known as "Wilno Furniture".
